2007 in Review

The unfortunate news to report is that more people in crisis came loking for emergency services in 2007 than in 2006. The good news is that through YOUR SUPPORT of SCO, we were there to meet their needs!

  • Food Donations up over 50,000 lbs, total of 680,143 for the year
  • Utility and eviction prevention was up from 404 to 561 families
  • Thrift Store clothing vouchers jumped from $3,000 to $4,350
  • Back to school backpacks distributed increased from 300 to 400
  • Families sponsored through the holiday Adopt a Family program went from 676 to 784
  • Computer Lab enrollment increased from 238 to 321 individuals
  • 853 new families came to SCO for help in 2007
  • The total number of services provided by SCO rose from 29,290 to 33,077

Thank you so much for your incredible support. Together we are making a positive difference in our communities.

Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon

SCO held it's annual Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon in February. It was a fun event, and enabled the many SCO volunteers to come together and enjoy the comraderie and appreciation they much deserved. This year's event was sponsored by the Boeing Corporation and also supported by Toshiba and the Holiday Inn Express at the La Paz exit at Route 5.
